The 2024 Ford Expedition

The 2024 Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV built for family adventure. Whether you’re taking the kids to sports practice, planning a long road trip, or needing extra room for your next grocery haul, the Expedition has the flexible cargo space and dynamic performance you need.  

The base Expedition model is the XL STX, which has a five-passenger seating capacity. This two-row SUV has a dedicated cargo volume of 57.5 cubic feet in the cargo area, which is plenty of space for three or four large suitcases, hockey sticks, golf clubs, donation boxes, and other large items. When the second-row seats are folded, the cargo capacity of this model increases to 104.6 cubic feet. 

The base Expedition has cloth seating surfaces that are easy to clean and very forgiving of messes from pets and small children. The second-row seats have a 40/20/40 folding configuration with a CenterSlide seat that makes it easy to customize the cargo area. The eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat also has lumbar support. 

Performance

The XL STX is outfitted with a powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine with EcoBoost technology that enhances the eco-friendly performance of the motor. This model has a standard rear-wheel drive that performs well on urban streets and rougher roads. The motor generates 380 horsepower and a stunning 470 lb-ft of torque, which gives this large SUV a maximum towing capacity of 9,200 lbs and more than enough muscle to haul a large boat. 

Entertainment

When you have kids, entertainment features to keep passengers occupied on long trips are essential. The base Expedition is equipped with a SYNC 4 infotainment system with a 12-inch central touchscreen. You can access smartphone-integrated apps, plug in your aux cord for MP3 streaming, or tune into the radio. 

Comfort

The XL STX comes with a three-zone climate control system that electronically controls individual settings for front-seat air vents, so each front-row passenger can have customized AC settings. The third climate zone is dedicated to the back seat and can be managed with rear auxiliary climate controls. 

Exterior

The Expedition is ready for any adventure with standard roof rack side rails that can accommodate roof baskets and other attachments for custom cargo carrying. This model has running boards to make entry easier for shorter passengers and LED reflector headlights with configurable daytime running lights so you can optimize your view of the road in all driving conditions.
