Safety has always been a top priority in every Ford design, and 2024 Ford models have the added protection of the Ford Co-Pilot360. This advanced safety suite contains numerous systems that continually watch in all directions to keep you safe on the road. Let’s talk more about some of these Ford safety features.

Pre-Collision Assist
This feature uses cameras and sensors to watch the road before you. It continuously scans this area for movement and can detect vehicles, pedestrians, or animals that cross your path. The sensors compute your speed and the distance between your front bumper and the identified object in front of you to determine a potential collision risk.
If the system determines a collision is likely, it provides visual and audio alerts to warn you. If you don’t respond fast enough, Automatic Emergency Braking is engaged to slow or stop your vehicle instantly, depending on the identified risk level.
Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)
Blind spots are a constant worry for many drivers. Despite your best efforts, it’s impossible to easily and continually watch these areas. Another vehicle can easily enter a blind spot without you seeing it, which can easily lead to an accident. BLIS removes these issues. Its sensors scan your vehicle’s blind spots and automatically alert you of anything that enters it.
BLIS includes Cross-Traffic Alert. This system scans the area behind your rear bumper and signals an alert if you’re reversing and a vehicle or pedestrian enters the scanned area.
Lane-Keeping System
When driving, particularly if you’re tired or slightly distracted, it’s easy to drift into another lane without realizing it. Unfortunately, if another vehicle is traveling fast in that lane, they may not stop in time, and this can cause an accident. This feature identifies the lane lines on the road and provides audio and visual alerts if you unintentionally cross into another lane.
Hill Descent Control
Driving down a steep incline, particularly if the road twists and turns, can be dangerous. This feature automatically activates anytime you’re driving downhill. It intelligently automatically applies the brakes when needed to control your descent and get you to the bottom safely.
Rearview Camera
Reversing requires repeatedly watching your rearview and side mirrors and even looking over your shoulder for a clearer look. This is distracting as you can’t identify other potential situations around you. With this feature, a rearview camera activates as soon as you shift into reverse. The camera clearly shows the area behind you and generates guidelines to assist you as you back up.
