Meet the 2023 Ford F-150

Engine Performance

This edition of the F-150 gives drivers multiple trim levels and engine options to choose from. The smallest engine is a 325-horsepower 2.7-liter V6; standard issue with the Lariat trim. The next largest engine is a 3.3-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower and comes standard with both the XL and XLT trims.

Moving up the line, the available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 offers 400 horses, as does the 5.0-liter V8, which comes standard with the King Ranch, Platinum, and Tremor trims. Then, there’s the 430-horsepower 3.5-liter full-hybrid V6 that’s standard in Lariat models, and another 3.5-liter with 450 horses that comes with the Raptor trim. The latter trim also offers a 700-horsepower 5.2-liter V8 with a supercharger to make high-speed desert racing possible.

Off-Road and Towing

Along with available four-wheel drive, there’s the Selectable Drive Modes feature, which lets you optimize the vehicle’s responsiveness to different terrains with the push of a button.  Both the Raptor and Tremor trims have two special driving modes called Baja and Rock Crawl for more demanding off-road adventures.

When properly equipped, models with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine can tow up to 14,000 pounds. With the Trailer Brake Controller, pressing the truck’s brake pedal can apply brake pressure to your trailer’s brakes as well, which can be adjusted at any time with the TBC button found in the center console.

Interior and Technology

Inside this edition’s cabin, you can seat as many as six passengers and flip the 60/40 split-bench seat down for cargo if you opt for the SuperCab design. There are also available leather-trimmed seats, dazzling ambient lighting to get the mood just right, and a dual-zone climate control feature, so passengers can enjoy their own temperature preferences.

To play media files, access select apps, and connect your smartphone to the vehicle without cords, the SYNC 4 infotainment system is sure to come in handy, as it pairs with an available 12-inch touchscreen display. Pro Power Onboard is also offered, which puts enough mobile electricity in the truck to keep small power tools plugged in and ready for construction jobs.

Advanced Safety Features

To help you avoid collisions, the Blind Spot Information System warns whenever other vehicles are approaching the sides or rear of the truck, while Pre-Collision Assist can do the same when you’re fast-approaching vehicles or objects in your path.

In the event that a collision does occur, two post-impact systems, Post-Collision Braking and SOS Post-Crash Alert, will then jump into action to help prevent a second collision.

Whether you’re using it for road trips, tough jobs, or everyday drives around town, this edition of the F-150 is sure to satisfy with its capable performance and intelligent tech and safety features.
