2022 Ford Mustang Mach E

The entry-level Mach-E is the Select. It comes with 18-inch wheels, LED taillights, automatic LED headlights, and heated, power-adjustable side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. The California Route 1 trim has 18-inch high-gloss black-painted alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof, and if you choose the Premium you'll get a hands-free liftgate and 19-inch machined alloy wheels. Step up to the GT for a black painted roof, 20-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, and a black grille, or to the GT Performance Edition for unique 20-inch wheels.

Power for the Mach-E comes with one electric motor for front-wheel drive models or two electric motors for all-wheel drive. You'll also get either a standard range battery or an extended range battery. The Select will get 266 horsepower, the California Route 1 delivers 290 horsepower, and the Premium generates up to 300 horsepower. The GT puts out 480 horsepower and can get up to 643 pound-feet of torque with the Performance Edition.

Drivers will enjoy the engaging feel behind the Mach-E's wheel. Choose a dual-motor configuration to boost performance and get that extra traction from the all-wheel drive. A Mach-E equipped with the extended range battery and rear-wheel drive will have a range of up to 305 miles, and if you're looking for extra power, you can get the GT or GT Performance Edition for a zero-to-60 acceleration time of 3.5 seconds.

The Mach-E has two rows of seats and room for up to five. Ford's ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery comes standard with upgrades to genuine leather in the Premium and GT. The front trunk has 4.7 cubic feet of storage space and can even serve as a cooler if you put ice in it. The tech in the Mach-E includes two large screens on the dash. A 15.5-inch touch screen sits in the center and comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 10.2-inch screen sits in front of the driver and provides remaining range and other vehicle information and will also display turn-by-turn directions. A wireless charging pad comes standard in all models, with an upgraded 10-speaker stereo in the Premium.

Every Mach-E comes standard with Ford's Co-Pilot360 suite of driver safety aids. It includes adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning with mitigation, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-centering assist. It also comes with pedestrian detection, rear parking sensors, with automatic rear braking. The California Route 1 adds an automated parking system, a surround-view camera, and Ford's BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving system. This system uses the advanced driver aids to provide a hands-free driving experience over several thousand miles of highways across the United States.
