2025 Ford Bronco: Everything You Need To Know About the Upcoming Off-Road Icon
The 2025 Ford Bronco combines rugged off-road capability with everyday driving comfort. It offers two- and four-door configurations with removable doors and roof panels for an open-air experience. The Bronco's independent front suspension system features twin alloy A-arms and coil-over springs, delivering smooth on-road handling while maintaining excellent off-road performance.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Standard features on the Base trim include 16-inch wheels and LED headlights. The Big Bend adds the optional Sasquatch package, providing high-clearance fender flares, lifted suspension, 35-inch mud-terrain tires, and Bilstein shock absorbers for superior off-road performance.
Retro-inspired elements, such as multicolor stripes along the body sides, set the classic Heritage Edition apart. The Sasquatch package is also available on this trim. The Outer Banks focuses on premium features with body-colored fender flares and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Badlands trim features a powder-coated steel front bumper and additional bash plates for serious off-road protection. Inspired by the Stroppe Baja racers from the 1960s and '70s, the Stroppe Edition showcases a tri-color paint scheme.
Unique exterior styling elements, including a heavy-duty modular front bumper with a distinctive bumperette, distinguish the high-performance Raptor from the rest of the lineup. All trims can be equipped with 35-inch mud-terrain tires and bead lock-capable wheels for maximum off-road capability.
Engine (Power)
The 2025 Ford Bronco offers three engine options. A turbocharged 2.3-liter I-4 with 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque at 3,400 rpm is standard on the Base, Big Bend, Heritage Edition, and Outer Banks trims.
An optional twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 delivers 330 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The four-cylinder engine pairs with a seven-speed manual transmission, while the V-6 comes exclusively with a 10-speed automatic. The automatic transmission is optional with the four-cylinder engine. Ford equips the Raptor with a 418-horsepower 3.0-liter V-6
Performance
With the twin-turbo V-6, the Bronco accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in around 6.2 seconds, while the turbocharged four-cylinder variant achieves the same feat in approximately 7.1 seconds. All trims maintain a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.
Electronic locking front and rear differentials are available across the lineup to improve traction in challenging conditions. Higher trim levels add a sway-bar-disconnect feature for increased wheel articulation during off-road driving.
Interior
A 12-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 software comes standard on all models. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity ensures seamless smartphone integration. The dashboard features a mounting rack for smartphones and GoPros, making it easy to record off-road adventures.
The interior offers rubberized flooring options and marine-grade vinyl upholstery choices for straightforward cleanup after outdoor activities. Four-door models include dedicated storage space for removed doors. A Bang & Olufsen premium audio system is available on upper trim levels for enhanced sound quality.
Safety Features
Ford Co-Pilot360 technologies are standard on all models. Automatic high beams and parking sensors help with visibility and maneuvering. A 360-degree camera system with specific off-road views assists during technical trail navigation. Available safety features include blind-spot monitoring to detect vehicles in adjacent lanes and adaptive cruise control for maintaining safe following distances on highways.
